Deadline: 12-November-2025
This grant is designed to enable rigorous research that explores how systems of power, policy, and practice influence the lives of women and girls, with a view to informing activism, advocacy, and organizational strategy for feminist change.
Organisations able to conduct or commission research are encouraged to apply. The fund prioritises projects that are led by women-led organisations or research teams, include participatory approaches, engage directly with the communities affected, and aim to produce actionable findings. The research should demonstrate relevance to lived realities of women and girls, incorporate intersectional perspectives, and have the potential to shape policy or practice within the feminist ecosystem.
Successful applicants will receive support not only in funding the research but also in sharing findings through dissemination mechanisms that reach change-makers, policymakers, and civil society. The concept note, application guidelines, and further details are now available, and prospective applicants are advised to review them carefully and develop proposals that reflect clear research questions, methodology, ethics, expected outcomes, and pathways to impact.
This grant presents a significant chance for organisations committed to gender justice to contribute to the knowledge base that drives feminist action. By enabling research that explores structural barriers and identifies solutions, the Women & Girls Fund is supporting evidence-informed advocacy and programming that can help transform the lives of women and girls across contexts.
