Deadline: 28-Dec-2025
The U.S. Embassy in Tunisia is inviting applications for its Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program to enable accomplished Tunisian scholars to spend up to one academic year in the United States, conducting advanced research at U.S. universities.
All fields of study are eligible, except for medical/clinical research that involves clinical training, patient care, or patient contact. Selected scholars will receive round-trip travel from Tunisia to their host institution in the United States, full financial support during their stay, medical insurance, and access to professional and cultural enrichment opportunities.
Applicants must be citizens of Tunisia and residing in Tunisia at the time of application. They must hold a doctoral degree or equivalent professional qualification and submit a detailed statement of proposed research activity at a U.S. university.
Proficiency in English is required to achieve the project goals. The applicant should demonstrate the intrinsic value of the project to themselves, their home institution, country, and U.S. institution, and exhibit the ability to serve as a cultural ambassador for Tunisia.
Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed, and only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. Any plagiarism or misrepresentation may result in disqualification, and participation is contingent upon eligibility for and receipt of a J-1 visa.
