Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
Hamilton Company is offering the Hamilton Research Support Grant to provide affordable laboratory equipment for academic researchers facing funding shortages, ensuring critical research continues without compromise.
The Hamilton Support Grant program is designed to help academic laboratories continue essential research by providing funding assistance for purchasing essential benchtop laboratory equipment. The grant covers Hamilton’s benchtop automated liquid handler, the Microlab Prep, semi-automated diluters and dispensers, the Microlab 600, and select consumables. The aim is to empower researchers to pursue innovative scientific work by removing financial barriers to essential laboratory equipment, providing up to 25% of the value of the package—from $1,100 to $12,000 in grant funding—depending on the instrument model or package selected.
This program offers qualifying institution laboratories access to precision benchtop devices at subsidized costs, rapid deployment of equipment to maintain research momentum, technical support to maximize the value of the granted equipment, and a streamlined application process to reduce administrative burden. Eligible applicants include academic researchers, laboratories, and institutions demonstrating scientific merit and financial need due to recent funding cuts.
Applicants must submit an online application showing proof of funding loss and specifying the desired instruments. Hamilton will respond within 48 hours of submission, and all applications that meet the requirements will be approved. There is no limit to the number of awards per institution or principal investigator, provided each application includes evidence of funding reduction or loss.
The program accepts applications until September 30, 2025, and is open to participants in the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, and Australia. Approved applicants will receive up to 25% off the value of their chosen equipment package, which will be automatically deducted from the final purchase price.
