Deadline: 01-Oct-2025
The Monograph Fellowships offer one-year, full-time fellowships for leading and visionary researchers in the humanities, social sciences, or interdisciplinary fields that may extend into the natural sciences. These fellowships support projects focused on producing groundbreaking monographs.
The Carlsberg Foundation provides funding that covers the fellow’s full salary and includes an additional DKK 8,000 per month for operating expenses.
Applicants must be tenured associate professors, senior researchers, or professors with between 5 and 20 years of prior tenure. They must be employed at Danish research institutions, dedicating at least 80% effort throughout the grant period. Periods of leave, such as parental leave or illness, are accepted as extensions of this time limit.
Monograph fellows are not allowed to carry out teaching or administrative duties during the fellowship, although light administration and limited supervision of students they choose to continue is permitted. It is not possible to receive this fellowship more than once.
Applications must be submitted through the CF-Grant system and written in English. Failure to meet the formal requirements, submitting the wrong grant type, or providing documents outside those specified will result in rejection on administrative grounds. Required documents include a project description, budget, CV, list of publications, and a declaration from the host institution, all uploaded in PDF format.
