The Call is financed by the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund and is implemented in collaboration with the NRDI Office. Its purpose is to strengthen strategic cooperation between Hungarian organisations involved in ERA-NET COFUND, EJP COFUND, and other multilateral programmes, enabling participants to gain international R&D experience and laying the foundations for future scientific and economic partnerships.
Eligible applicants include Hungarian members of consortia in international projects recommended for funding, or Hungarian participants joining such consortia subsequently. Legal entities must have a registered seat in Hungary or in the European Economic Area with a Hungarian branch, including businesses, non-profit companies, accredited higher education institutions, and budgetary bodies or entities qualifying as research and knowledge-dissemination organisations.
Eligible project objectives cover basic research (with PhD/DLA-qualified personnel), applied research, and experimental development, while activities such as independent basic research by certain organisations, procurement of fixed or immaterial assets, R&D support activities, and travel-related activities are not independently eligible for funding.
The total budget available under this Call is HUF 1,277,210,488, with maximum funding per project ranging from HUF 57,825,000 to HUF 115,650,000. Project proposals must be submitted online through the Participant Portal (Pályázati e-ügyintézés) by 16:00 (CET) on 30 September 2025.
