Deadline: 31-Aug-25
The International Peace Research Association (IPRA) Foundation has opened applications for its Peace Research Grants.
These grants aim to support meaningful and original research that contributes to understanding the roots of conflict and finding nonviolent alternatives.
The mission of the IPRA Foundation is to promote peace research that investigates the causes of war and conflict while exploring peaceful solutions.
Through their support, they hope to inspire action and generate new insights into building a more peaceful world.
The Foundation’s vision includes promoting nonviolent peace strategies, encouraging peace-focused scholarship globally, and enhancing communication and collaboration among peace researchers.
They also support the integration of peace science and peace arts to widen the scope and impact of peace work.
At the heart of their values is the belief in socially relevant and impactful research. They emphasize respect for human dignity, diversity, and identity.
The Foundation strongly encourages work that empowers vulnerable and marginalized communities by giving voice to researchers within those populations.
In terms of eligibility, the Peace Research Grant Program allows only one grant per applicant. If you have previously received a grant from the IPRA Foundation, you are not eligible to apply again.
Additionally, close relations to current or former board members or reviewers—such as family members, students, or others with a conflict of interest—are also not eligible.
The IPRA Foundation continues to invest in research that informs real-world peacebuilding, encouraging a global movement of scholars dedicated to justice and nonviolence.
