Nominations are now open for the Hiyoshi Awards to recognize those who are doing novel, innovative, outstanding scientific research and application in the field of environmental conservation and protection in India.
It is a prestigious award for outstanding contribution for applied study on Environmental Conservation and Protection.

Prize Information
- Hiyoshi Environmental Award: This award will be given to one person and comprises of a memento, cash prize of Rs. 25,000 and a citation.
- Hiyoshi Think of Ecology Award: This award will be given to one person and comprises of a memento, cash prize of Rs. 25,000 and a citation.
- Hiyoshi Young Leaf Award: This award will be given to one person and comprises of a memento, cash prize of Rs. 15,000 and a citation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Hiyoshi Environmental Award and Hiyoshi Think of Ecology Award: This award is open to research scientist (resident of Indian citizens) who is working in government research institutions/universities and registered private research organization in India:
- The applicant should have minimum ten years of research experience (excluding your Ph.D degree research experience) in environmental conservation and must have done outstanding contribution in Researches, Design & Methodology Development, Application of Science and Technology for the Protection and Conservation of Environment.
- Hiyoshi Young Leaf Award: This award is open to young researcher (resident of Indian citizens) who is working in government research institutions/universities and registered private research organization in India:
- The applicant should have minimum ten years of research experience (including your Ph.D degree research experience) in environmental conservation and must have done outstanding contribution in Researches, Design & Methodology Development, Application of Science and Technology for the Protection and Conservation of Environment
- The applicant age should not be more than 35 years.
Ineligibility Criteria
Individuals who have received the awards earlier are not eligible for consideration.
Selection Criteria
- Applications will be received from individuals in a standard format through online, highlighting their contribution and enclosing relevant supporting documents including three of their best publications.

- Applicant may have many publications however please select only three publications which are related to environmental conservation and is meeting the criteria to apply for the award.
- Colour passport size photograph (JPEG format only acceptable)
- Any outstanding contribution that you want to demonstrate for the environmental conservation. Please limit it only 3. (PDF format only acceptable).
