Deadline: 15-Aug-2025
The Falling Walls Foundation invites students and early-career professionals with breakthrough ideas that can advance science and benefit society to present their work in a compelling three-minute pitch. Applicants must explain which “wall” their innovation breaks—highlighting its significance and potential impact.
To be eligible, applicants must be 18 or older and meet at least one of the following criteria: currently enrolled in a university, working as a postdoc, or have completed a Bachelor’s degree within the last 10 years, a Master’s within the last 7 years, or a PhD within the last 5 years. Medical degrees are considered equivalent to these academic levels depending on whether they include a dissertation.
The application must be submitted in English, and only one submission is allowed per person. This is a one-time opportunity—past participants cannot reapply. Travel and accommodation costs for international Labs are typically not covered unless specified by local organizers. No ticket purchase is needed to apply or participate.
The Falling Walls Lab provides a global stage to showcase ideas across disciplines—science, technology, humanities, and beyond—encouraging transformative thinking and interdisciplinary innovation.
