The Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme (FMSH) and The Centre des Etudes Mexicaines et Centraméricaines (CEMCA) offer short-term fellowships of two months in France for postdoc researchers or university lecturers and researchers from Mexico or Central America who have presented their thesis since 2017.
This research stay is designed to enable researchers to conduct research studies in France: field enquiries, library and archives work.
This call is part of the Atlas short-term postdoctoral mobility program offered by the FMSH and its partners.
Funding Information
- Laureates will receive a total stipend of €3 000 for the two months (paid in 2 instalments). This financial contribution is intended to cover expenditure such as transport and accommodation costs.
- In cooperation with the CEMCA, the University of Paris will pay for the plane tickets (way and back).
- Moreover, the FMSH and the CEMCA will help to obtain a French visa and will bring a logistical support to organize the stay (letters for libraries…).
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality/Residence: this program is open to candidates from Nicaragua, Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize and Mexico who are affiliated with an institution of higher education and research / institute of research based in those countries.
- Educational Degree: applicants must have obtained their PhD doctorate and presented their thesis from 2017.
- Theme: applicants must be involved in research in social and human sciences.
- French host institution: before submitting their application, applicants will have to find a French research institution to host them for the time of their stay. Applicants will have to provide a letter from the hosting institution addressed to the FMSH and the CEMCA expressing the institution’s willingness to host the applicant during the time of fellowship and explaining the work conditions offered.
