Deadline: 22-Sep-2025
The Independent Advocacy Social Care Fund is now open for new projects led by collective, peer, or citizen independent advocacy groups.
These projects must support individuals or their unpaid carers who are accessing or need access to social care services. The focus should be on ensuring that the voices of advocacy partners are heard within the local social care system.
All projects must use independent advocacy as a tool to help people express themselves and make their needs and opinions known in the social care setting.
Organisations can apply for grants of up to £50,000, with a total of £500,000 available under this funding round.
Projects must begin on or after 1 April 2026 and be completed by the end of March 2027.
The fund is open to voluntary organisations, registered charities, social enterprises, and community interest companies that meet the Regulator of Community Interest Companies’ community interest test and asset lock provisions.
Eligible organisations must already be working in the independent advocacy sector in Scotland. They must have a registered office in the UK and an official base in Scotland. Organisations should operate on a not-for-profit basis for the benefit of the community.
Applicants must also be solvent, have a UK bank account, and be governed by an independent board or committee. Annual accounts must be approved by that governing body.
