Deadline: 15-Sep-2025
The Town of Oakville’s Sport Development Grant Program offers financial support to eligible local non-profit sport organizations for activities that create new programs, expand or enhance existing ones, and provide coaching training and development. Funded by the Town of Oakville and administered in partnership with Sport Oakville, the program focuses on fostering community sport initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes.
For 2025, funding priorities include coaching training and development, program development and expansion, and sustaining existing initiatives. Eligible projects may involve specialized training for administrators, executives, coaches, officials, and referees through programs like the National Coaching Certification Program or HIGH FIVE® training, provided payments go to independent individuals or organizations. Funding can also support the creation of new inclusive sport programs, expansion of existing ones to increase accessibility, volunteer training, resource development, and sport-specific equipment purchases linked directly to community impact and program growth.
Ineligible expenses include general club operations, office equipment, consumables, administrative costs, advertising, licensing fees, uniforms, awards, travel, meals, entertainment, accommodation, salaries, consultant fees, insurance, and any program equipment not tied to new development, enhancement, or expansion.
To qualify, applicants must be incorporated non-profit organizations that provide accessible sport programs to everyone in the Oakville community.
