Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The Shire of Mt Marshall has launched the 2025/26 Club Support Fund to provide essential support and assistance to community groups and sport and recreational clubs, with the aim of encouraging growth and creating active opportunities for all.
The focus areas of the Fund include the purchase of additional or better-quality equipment that will encourage greater participation in community or sporting activities or assist in reducing the strain on local volunteers, activities, events or programs that encourage growth, professional development or increased participation within local community groups and sport and recreation clubs, and costs involved in conducting an activity, event or program such as hire fees, advertising, and contractors or professional services.
Eligible applicants are not-for-profit organisations or registered charities based in the Shire of Mt Marshall area, groups or organisations based within the Shire, incorporated bodies, and organisations that can provide their two most recent endorsed financial statements. Groups not eligible to apply include those that have not acquitted previous Council grants, political or discriminatory groups, for-profit groups, and projects that involve ongoing operating costs, individual or personal projects, prizes or competitions, or reimbursement for paying players.
Applications will be assessed against several criteria, including the need for the project, organisational capacity to deliver, community outcomes and benefits, and budget and value for money. Applicants must demonstrate how their project will positively contribute to life in the Mt Marshall Region, provide supporting documentation, and include a detailed and balanced budget with quotes for items to be funded.
Applications close at 4:00 p.m. on 30 September 2025 and must be submitted by email, post, or in person at the Shire of Mt Marshall office. Council will assess all applications at the October 2025 Meeting of Council. Successful applicants will receive an approval letter, funding agreement, creditor form, and acquittal form, while unsuccessful applicants will be notified by letter.
All successful applicants must acquit their funding by 31 May 2026 by submitting a completed acquittal form, evidence of acknowledging Council, and payment receipts.
