Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond? If yes, then Campbelltown City Council’s Australia Day awards provide the chance to acknowledge local residents, whether they have excelled academically, in the sporting arena, or have performed a great service to the community.
The Australia Day Awards recognise people who have contributed to the community or excelled academically or in the sporting arena.
Award Categories
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Sportsperson of the Year (all ages)
- Community Group Initiative of the Year
- Diversity and Inclusion Award
- Environmental Citizen of the Year Award
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizen of the Year: Nominees aged 18 and over as at 31 December 2021. Citizen who has made a noteworthy contribution to Campbelltown City.
- Young Citizen of the Year: Nominees aged 17 and under as at 31 December 2021. Young citizen who has made a noteworthy contribution to Campbelltown City.
- Sportsperson of the Year (all ages): Person who has made an exceptional contribution or achievement in the sporting arena of Campbelltown City.
- Community Group Initiative of the Year: Local group or organisation which has contributed an outstanding service to the City of Campbelltown.
- Diversity and Inclusion Award: The award recognises an individual or group’s contribution towards the disability sector and commitment to improve the lives of people with a disability. The award also encompasses a devoted carer or individual living with a disability.
- Environmental Citizen of the Year Award: The award will recognise individuals and organisations championing litter reduction and/or environmental initiatives in their local community.
