The Sports Stafford Borough Grants scheme offers financial support to talented sports performers, local sports clubs, and sports coaches in the community.
This initiative aims to encourage and assist individuals and groups involved in sports by providing funding that helps develop their skills and enhance their activities.
Grants of up to £1,000 are available to support coaching and training efforts. The coaching grant is specifically designed for voluntary, non-profit organizations, local sports clubs, and similar groups. Its primary goal is to help these organizations and their members obtain coaching certificates, thereby improving the quality of sports coaching within the borough.
Applications are welcomed from voluntary, non-profit making groups that have an open membership policy, as well as local sports clubs and organizations. The scheme focuses on supporting grassroots sports activities and development within the community, ensuring that funds reach those dedicated to promoting sports and physical activity.
However, the program is unable to provide funding to statutory agencies, public sector bodies, or organizations with statutory responsibilities. It also excludes organizations that may already qualify for assistance from other local sports or arts councils, to avoid overlapping funding. Additionally, funding is not available for party political activities, religious promotion, medical research, or animal welfare causes.
This grants scheme represents an important opportunity for local sports enthusiasts and organizations to gain financial assistance that supports their growth and contribution to the sporting community.
