In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2018, UN Women, with the support of the Embassies of Australia and Canada to Viet Nam will organize “A photo contest on Rural Women & Sustainable Development” with the aim to recognize rural women’s contribution to growth and prosperity of Viet Nam.
Topics
Participants are encouraged to submit photos under four specific topics including:
- Rural women and technology
- Rural women and sustainable agriculture
- Rural women and disaster/climate change
- Rural women in business and/or cooperatives
- Rural women in leadership and decision making
- Gender equality between rural women and men
Prizes
- First place prize: in kind worth 10 million VND
- Second place prize: in kind worth 7 million VND
- Third place prize: in kind worth 5 million VND
- People’s Choice prize: in kind worth 5 million VND
Preliminary round: UN Women Viet Nam will upload 40 photos on their Facebook Page. The participant with most likes on Facebook will be rewarded for People’s Choice Award.
Final round: Judging Panel will select 30 photos for all awards. Winners can receive prizes, certificates and their works will be exhibited.
Eligibility Criteria
- The competition is open to all legal residents in Viet Nam with no age limitation.
- Judges, their family members and relatives are not allowed to participate in the photo contest.
