Submit Your Nominations for WE Empower Challenge 2019

Nominations are open for WE Empower Challenge 2019 which is a global business competition for women entrepreneurs who are advancing the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and inspiring entire communities to create the world they want by 2030.

Five awardees, one from each UN region, will be chosen from those who apply by 8 May 2019. The successful awardees will be notified by 15 July 2019 and will receive an all-expenses paid trip to New York City, New York (NY) during the UN Global Goals week (22 – 29 September 2019) to participate in a series of tailored trainings contributed by leading and supporting partners and engage in high-profiled events with UN Officials.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to enter this competition, applicants must meet all of the following criteria. Finalists will be required to provide evidence of sales (i.e. tax returns and/or audited financial records).
- - Applicants have a lead decision making ability in a business.
  - Business has been in operation for more than three years.
  - Applicants employ at least three full time staff (or full time equivalent).
  - Business generates at least $100,000 USD in annual sales.
  - Applicants proficient in spoken and written English.
  - Applicants at least 21 years old.
  - Applicants available to travel to NYC between Monday 22 September 2019 – Sunday 29 September 2019.
