Deadline: 21-Feb-22
The Embassy to the Kingdom of Netherlands in Sri Lanka is calling for proposals for Sustainable Mobility.
Many people in Sri Lanka and the Netherlands are or were used to cycling to work. Both countries share a cycling culture. They all know the benefits of cycling: it is a healthy and sustainable mode of transport. Many people (would) like to cycle from their home to their work each day. They are of course more likely to do so when there are facilities that will ease their cycling experience: high quality (e-)bikes (with umbrella), shower facilities, technical support, cycling infrastructure in the streets, etc. That is why they call for your ideas!
The Embassy to the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Sri Lanka is working together with local partners and the Dutch Cycling Embassy to support Sri Lanka to stimulate commuting (work-home) cycling. Their aim is to encourage sustainable mobility; what better way to do this than to encourage incentives to get on to the bicycle for commuting and prevent daily congestion?
Is this a paradigm shift you have been thinking about at your workplace in Sri Lanka? Are sustainable mobility options something you would like to see at your place of work? Do you want to create incentives at your workplace to encourage commuting by bicycle? Tell them your ideas and collaborate with like-minded who work on sustainable mobility to make it happen in Sri Lanka. Such collaboration can be part of your Responsible Business Conduct strategy at your workplace.
Criteria
What are you planning to do where and when?
- How will you deal with (possible) COVID restrictions?
- What result will the activities have; how do they contribute to increased sustainable mobility in Sri Lanka?
- How can your activities replicated elsewhere / are they scalable?
- How will you follow up after you have done these activities?
- How will you communicate about the activities?
