End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI) is accepting proposals for its International Conference on Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, and Violence Across the Lifespan to promote innovative techniques, unique approaches, and promising practices in responding to gender-based violence.
Objectives
- Improve responses to victims of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, human trafficking, elder abuse, and other gender-based crimes
- Enhance collaboration among criminal justice and community professionals through a multidisciplinary approach
- Improve the investigation and prosecution of those who perpetrate gender-based violence
- Promote effective prevention and risk reduction programs

- Improving the criminal justice response to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking
- Addressing violence against women in American Indian/Alaska Native communities
- Reducing domestic violence homicides through innovative interventions
- Successful approaches for improving the enforcement of protection orders
- Responding to older victims of domestic violence and sexual assault
- Improving system responses for immigrant victims
- Innovative approaches for using State VAWA or VOCA funding to reach underserved communities
- How communities are thoughtfully and effectively implementing the coordinated community response to violence against women

- Responding to violence against women in rural, isolated, or other challenging areas
- New research, evaluation, or other data collection efforts on best practices for responding to violence against women

Selection Criteria
- Presentation proposals will be evaluated, based on the following selection criteria:
- Concrete and innovative recommendations for best practices
- Quality and clarity of written materials
- Relevance to the field and multiple disciplines
- Timeliness with respect to current and emerging issues in the field
- Practical and empirical basis, bridging research and practice
