The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is seeking applications for Construction of Water, Sanitation (toilets) and Hygiene (hand washing) WASH Facilities and Health waste management (HWM) in Health Care facilities and schools as well as renovation works at ADAP related facilities (Adolescents Innovation Labs, Impact Source Hub, Safe Space) and other facilities.
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Tajikistan, is looking for potential contractors for the following main item:
- Construction of Water, Sanitation (toilets) and Hygiene (hand washing)-WASH Facilities and Health waste management (HWM) in Health Care facilities and schools as well as renovation works at ADAP related facilities (Adolescents Innovation Labs, Impact Source Hub, Safe Space) and other facilities.
- Health Care Facilities: Rehabilitation of the WASH in the departments of CDH (replacement of floor coverings, plastering of the walls and ceiling, painting and whitewashing of walls and ceiling, installation of sinks, toilets, shower, wash basins and water heaters), laying and connection of new pipelines for water supply and sewerage.
- Schools: Construction of toilets include different models of toilets including from 2 to 16 etc. cubicles. Toilets type mostly is ventilated improved pit toilets however some have the flush toilets connected to sewer lines.
- ADAP: ADAP section mostly establish the AIL, ISH and Safe Space. Mainly renovation works required in a room of at least 60-80 sq.m. Rooms located in various government facilities. Renovation/rehabilitation works consist of the following main components: renovation of floors, ceiling, walls, doors and windows.
- Other: Construction of the WASH infrastructure of the CAMP (for refugee in reception centers, accommodation center, camps), construction of toilets/showers/laundry. Toilets type mostly is ventilated improved pit toilets; however, some have the flush toilets connected to sewer lines.
Criteria
- Please note the following:
- UNICEF does not deal with construction firms who are non-compliant with the National Labour Laws and Regulations and with those who are do not abide to ethical standards related to child Labour and landmines.
- UNICEF payment terms are after delivery (no advance payment).
- UNICEF prefers to collaborate with experienced construction firms and with those who have previous working experience with either UN or International Organizations.
- UNICEF requires to provide max 10% of the Contract value, unconditional and cashable on demand Bank Guarantee in currency of contract for any construction/rehabilitation works, prior to sign the contract.
