Call for Applications: 2019 Girls Projects in Germany

Applicants are invited to apply for ideas and plans for Girls projects 2019.

The Girls’ Council currently consists of 12 young women between the ages of 15 and 22 who are quite colorful and diverse, like the projects promoted by filia. They suggest to the board of trustees of filia which girls’ projects in Germany should be supported.

The projects should do something to help girls and young women to live free of violence and to have a say in society. The projects are made by girls and / or women for girls and young women.

Grant Information

They support projects that make girls strong, with up to € 5,000.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants can apply for organizations that are recognized as charitable in Germany.
Each organization can only apply for one project.
The projects that are requested mustbe led by girls or women.
The project is for a group of girls and / or young women (age limit is 30 years). The more achieved, the better.
Girls and / or young women who are disadvantaged for a number of reasons – not just because they are female, but also because they have a different skin color or belief than the majority because their families come from another country because they are have a negative impact or because they fall in love with other women – play a crucial role in the project.
Girls and / or young women are involved in the project – they can implement their own ideas and suggestions and determine what is being done. Or they even do the project themselves – they themselves have the idea to organize or direct themselves. Such projects are best found.
The project empowers girls and / or young women so that they can work to live free of violence – and / or play an important role in society and decide for themselves. Girls notice what they can do, they learn something that makes them more independent, freer and knows their rights.
They would also like to support projects that empower girls and / or young women in dealing with money so they can know better and make their own decisions.
Creative things can be done in the project, such as art, culture, film, radio, photography, painting, dancing, exercise, sports, etc. The own perspective of girls and young women counts.
It is important to us that something of the project remains and that it has a longer-term effect.
The project should also shine in public and raise awareness of the life situations of girls and young women.
