Deadline: 15-Nov-2025
Zonta International is pleased to announce its Amelia Earhart Fellowship, aimed at providing women access to resources and representing them equally in decision-making positions alongside men. The fellowship awards US$10,000 annually to up to 30 women pursuing Ph.D. or doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences.
The fellowship can be used at any university or college offering accredited postgraduate courses and degrees in these fields. Eligible applicants are women of any nationality who demonstrate a superior academic record conducting research applied to aerospace engineering or space sciences. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a Ph.D. or doctoral program, have completed at least one year of the program, or hold a master’s degree in an aerospace-applied field at the time of application. They must not graduate before April 2027.
Committee or jury members involved in the selection process must adhere to Zonta International’s Conflict of Interest Policy. Club members, individuals with direct membership in Zonta International, and employees of Zonta International or the Zonta Foundation for Women are not eligible to apply. Post-doctoral research programs are also not eligible for the fellowship. Previous Amelia Earhart Fellows cannot apply to renew the fellowship for a second year.
Applications are reviewed by the Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship Committee, which recommends recipients to the Zonta International Board. Applicants are evaluated based on the stated criteria in the application requirements. Evaluation details remain confidential and are not disclosed to applicants. All applicants will be notified of their status by the end of April.
