Giving Joy is now inviting applications for its small grants program, aimed at empowering women aged 18 and above.
The focus is on ideas, businesses, or organizations that support women, girls, and families. Whether you want to start something new or grow an existing initiative, your proposal should aim to create a positive social impact in your community.
Each grant provides up to $500 USD. The amount awarded will depend on the proposed activity and available funds. The grant period is six months.
You can use the funding to start or expand a business, nonprofit, NGO, or charity. You may also propose a specific community-oriented activity or project.
Your idea can be in any legal field, trade, or craft, as long as it benefits others and goes beyond just personal financial gain.
However, the grant cannot be used for personal expenses like buying stock, merchandise, or advertising for individual use.
Eligible applicants include women 18+ from 50+ African countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and more. A strong emphasis is placed on the social value your idea brings to your local community.
