This proposal seeks to strengthen the efforts of UN Women to support the Ecuadorian state and humanitarian actors to generate actions towards gender equality and the empowerment of women refugees or in situations of human mobility and their hosts, to reduce gender-based vulnerabilities, promote resilience and provide durable solutions for women, their families and host communities in Ecuador.
- Increase women’s leadership and participation.
- End violence against women.
- Involve women in all aspects of peace and security processes.
- Improve the economic empowerment of women.
- Make gender equality a central aspect in planning and developing national budgets for development.
- Basic concepts of gender-based violence against women;
- Detection, prevention and response to gender-based violence (GBV) (based on comprehensive organic law to prevent and eradicate violence against women and the irregulation, include administrative measures of protections and urgent actions of protection);
- Route of local attention to GBV; and
- Specific content on the difficulties faced by migrant women and refugees to access the care route, for example, identity document, place of residence, and how to overcome them.
- At least 3 years of experience in generating training content and pedagogical processes.
- At least 3 years of work in human rights and in particular in human rights women with an emphasis on labor rights, immigration and protection against GBV.
- Desirable previous work with state institutions at their different levels.
