The Council of Europe in co-operation with the Women Against Violence Europe Network (WAVE) and UN Women are organising an on-line event with the participation of civil society organisations from all over Europe.
Aims
The main aims of the event are to:
- promote and answer questions related to a new methodology providing advocacy resources and tools to support civil society organisations in promoting the values, aims and provisions of the Council of Europe the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, known as the Istanbul Convention;
- Encourage broad participation in the Council of Europe call for proposals from non-governmental organisations working in Bulgaria, Hungary, Lithuania or the Slovak Republic
The event will take place on 14 September 2022, at 09:30-12:00 CET.
Criteria
- Participants – representatives of CSOs working in combatting violence against women and domestic violence – representatives of the Council of Europe, WAVE and UN Women
- The meeting will be hosted by the BlueJeans videoconferencing platform and the working language will be English.
- On-line venue: the meeting will be hosted via the BlueJeans videoconferencing platform. The link will be provided after registration.
