Deadline: 03-Nov-2025
UN Women’s Fiji Multi-Country Office has launched a new call for proposals aimed at strengthening the capacity and influence of women’s rights organizations in the Pacific.
This initiative is part of the second phase of the Pacific Partnership to End Violence Against Women and Girls, a regional program that addresses the root causes of gender-based violence and empowers civil society and government actors to build safer, more equitable communities.
Violence against women and girls remains alarmingly high across the Pacific, with up to 68% of women in some countries experiencing physical abuse in their lifetimes. The Pacific Partnership responds to this crisis by focusing on long-term, feminist movement building, expanding survivor-centered services, and transforming harmful social norms. The program is aligned with international and regional commitments, including the Sustainable Development Goals and the Pacific Leaders Gender Equality Declaration.
Under this call, eligible organizations based in Fiji, Kiribati, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Vanuatu can apply for funding between USD 100,000 and USD 150,000. Proposals should span a period of up to 18 months and include a detailed work plan for the first year. The goal is to fund projects that not only deliver results within the project timeframe but also lay the groundwork for sustained impact and stronger feminist networks in the region.
Successful applicants will be expected to lead collaborative efforts that engage diverse stakeholders, including marginalized and vulnerable women and girls. Projects should be inclusive, rights-based, and capable of influencing policy and social change. While applicants may collaborate with other actors such as academic institutions or community organizations, UN Women will only fund the lead organization directly.
This funding opportunity represents a vital investment in Pacific women’s leadership and grassroots feminist movements. It offers a pathway for locally driven solutions that challenge violence, promote equality, and ensure that women’s voices shape the future of the region.
