Deadline: 25-Feb-22
The FORA: Network for Change is currently seeking applications for the Global Summit Program.
Fora is a global centre of excellence for young advocate’s leadership. Since 2010, the Global Summit (formerly called the G(irls)20 Summit) has brought together young leaders from across the globe to build leadership skills and a powerful network for advocacy and action!
Through the Global Summit, thirty (30) Delegates from around the world will meet to build their advocacy skills, grow their confidence as advocates, and build networks in order to advance gender equality and women’s leadership in their home countries.
Young leader’s voices are vitally needed in spaces where decisions are being made. Through this training, Delegates will be prepared to advocate in local, national and international decision-making spaces.
Whether in-person or online, they are committed to ensuring a Global Summit will be held in 2022!
The Fora team is working hard to be able to host the Global Summit in-person – in Toronto, Canada between June and December 2022.
Fora is committed to ensuring equity is central to the decision-making processes, especially amidst global inequities in vaccine access and travel restrictions. Once Delegates are selected, the Fora team will assess each Delegate’s access to the vaccine and other travel restrictions and realities. With this information, a decision will be made about when the Global Summit will be held, and whether it will be held in-person or virtually. If held in-person, they will continue the commitment to ensure the Global Summit is barrier-free, including covering the costs of travel, visas, and COVID-19 related considerations for all Delegates.
