The French and German Embassy in Azerbaijan are jointly launching the first French-German Gender Equality Prize that aims at rewarding an Azerbaijani initiative that contributes to gender equality in Azerbaijan.
Prize
- The Prize awarded by the jury will be a short-term Summer Course in France in the field of human rights (Summer School at Sciences Po-Paris Campus) and an equivalent prize offered by the German Embassy.
- The flight ticket, the tuition fees and accommodation costs will be covered by the French and German Embassies. Depending on the pandemic situation, the courses might have to take place virtually.
Topics
The submission should relate to one of the following topics:
- Promotion of women leadership : strengthening the place of women in politics, and/or economics and/or on the labor market
- Women in conflict resolution and peace-building process
- Fight against gender-based violence
- Questioning Gender-based stereotypes
- Promotion of creative women: support to female artists, as for instance movie makers, fashion stylist, architects, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- This contest is opened to English-speaking (B2 level minimum) Azerbaijani women.
- All Azerbaijani girls and women who are engaged in a concrete initiative in favor of gender equality in one of the following fields are welcome to send their application:
- Promotion of women leadership : strengthening the place of women in politics, and/or economics and/or on the labor market
- Women in conflict resolution and peace-building process
- Fight against gender-based violence
- Questioning Gender-based stereotypes
- Promotion of creative women: support to female artists, as for instance movie makers, fashion stylist, architects, etc.
