The Generation Google Scholarship for women in computer science in Ireland supports aspiring computer scientists in excelling in technology and becoming future leaders in the field. The scholarship is awarded based on each applicant’s demonstrated leadership qualities and academic achievements.
Selected students will receive an award of 5,000 EUR for two consecutive years of their undergraduate studies. This financial support aims to help students focus on their academic and leadership growth without financial burden.
To be eligible, applicants must be currently enrolled as a first- or second-year undergraduate student at a university in Ireland for the 2024-2025 academic year. They should also intend to continue their bachelor’s degree in Ireland through the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 academic years. Eligible fields of study include computer science, computer engineering, or closely related technical disciplines. Applicants must show strong academic performance and leadership potential.
Children of Google employees are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Applicants must complete an online application that includes background information, details of current and intended universities, a resume or CV, two letters of recommendation, academic transcripts, and responses to short essay questions. Before beginning the application, candidates should have a PDF copy of their resume and their most recent transcript ready for upload. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
