Deadline: 07-Nov-2025
The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) invites applications for the 2026 Bright Ideas Business Grant, offering $20,000 in seed funding to support a business initiative aimed at retaining and advancing women in the construction industry.
The focus of the Bright Ideas Business Grant is to fuel the launch of new programs, initiatives, or ideas aligned with creating an equitable construction industry by advocating for gender diversity, establishing pathways for the advancement of women, and nurturing a supportive workplace culture within the construction sector.
This grant provides an important opportunity for businesses to champion positive transformation by supporting initiatives that promote gender diversity and inclusion. The $20,000 seed funding will enable businesses to implement new programs or initiatives designed to enhance retention and advancement of women in this traditionally male-dominated industry. Beyond financial support, the winner gains access to ongoing mentorship and networking opportunities through NAWIC’s Mentorship Program and complimentary NAWIC event access for one year. The grant supports businesses that demonstrate originality in their ideas, quality in business planning, likelihood of success, and an ability to impact culture change for retention and advancement of women within the industry. Applications must be submitted online in full by the deadline, supported by a CV, and applicants must be NAWIC members obeying the eligibility criteria. The selection involves a review process including interviews, with the winner announced in January 2026.
