Deadline: 12-Jun-22
The U.S. Mission to India is currently seeking applications for its Training workshops for women entrepreneurs working in the green business sector.
This funding opportunity seeks to identify and train at least 40 women entrepreneurs running green businesses from the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha. Through three workshops, the grantee will enable participants to gain access to new funding and development opportunities, thereby increasing their businesses’ sustainability and resilience.
This program should recruit a pool of women (21-40 years) working in green businesses and invite them to two-day preliminary workshops. The top 20 participants from these workshops will then be invited to a three-day follow-on workshop.
Project Objectives
- To organize three workshops within six months to train 40 women entrepreneurs, in leadership positions and representing green businesses and startups, to help build their capacity, scale up their operations, and seek funding, expand markets, and networking opportunities.
- The training will comprise two preliminary workshops each of two days, and a final three-day workshop for twenty select participants.
- As a part of this project, the grantee is expected to design a matrix to assess how the participants have accessed further opportunities in funding and development in comparison to their levels before the workshops.
- They anticipate 25% percent of the participants to display significant change.
Project Goal:
- This project aims to empower women entrepreneurs with the tools required to scale up their businesses, expand their networks, and access funding opportunities to create sustainable and impactful green businesses. In the long term,

- such socially responsible businesses will positively impact the environment and climate.
