Deadline: 15-Nov-2025
Are you a nonprofit, NGO, or social enterprise in Malaysia working to empower women, children, or youth? The Change Microgrant Programme is now open for applications!
With a focus on income generation and entrepreneurial training, the programme invites eligible organisations to apply for funding of up to RM3,000 per project.
The initiative is structured around two main areas. The first focuses on empowering under-resourced women through practical, income-generating skills. Funded projects should aim to enhance financial resilience by providing hands-on training that equips women with tools to earn a sustainable income. This support is especially relevant for communities where access to employment or vocational training is limited.
The second focus targets children and youth, promoting creative entrepreneurial training to prepare them for real-world challenges. Projects under this theme should nurture innovation, problem-solving, and leadership skills, helping young people become more adaptable and self-reliant in an ever-changing global environment. Proposals may also include training for educators and mentors who will deliver these programmes.
The grant programme seeks initiatives that prioritize creative and accessible educational opportunities. This includes projects that foster collaborative learning, use learner-centred methods, and build the capacity of teachers, trainers, or other key community figures. Programmes that are locally relevant, sustainable, and capable of creating long-term impact are particularly encouraged.
Organisations eligible to apply include NGOs, non-profit organisations, social enterprises, educational institutions (both public and private), and certified community learning centres. All applicants must be formally registered or certified under the relevant national regulatory bodies.
This microgrant offers a valuable chance for small organisations to pilot or expand innovative training projects that uplift vulnerable groups. By focusing on both women and children, the initiative aims to strengthen community resilience and create pathways to greater independence and opportunity.
