Applications are now open for the Generation Google Scholarship, which supports students pursuing computer science degrees and encourages them to become future technology leaders.
The Generation Google Scholarship for women in computer science will be awarded based on leadership qualities, academic performance, and financial need demonstrated by each candidate.
Selected recipients will receive a €7,000 scholarship (or local equivalent) for the 2025–2026 academic year.
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited university or college during the 2024–2025 academic year. They must also plan to be enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s program in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Applicants must show strong leadership skills, a solid academic record, and financial need. Children of Google employees are not eligible to apply.
The application process includes an online form requiring background details, resume or CV, two letters of recommendation, academic transcripts, and responses to short essay questions. Applicants must prepare PDF versions of their resume and most recent transcript before beginning the application. Unofficial transcripts are accepted.
