Submit for a chance to be featured for the SheROCKS 2023 Artists Showcase in Washington, DC on March 25th, and the opportunity to win the Artists Fund Initiative Grant.
SheROCKS is one of the fastest growing events for emerging women artists and entrepreneurs. The event honors The State of Fem Art’s commitment to help women thrive in the entertainment and business industries where they may not otherwise be recognized. Each year the event showcases women in performing and visual arts while creating ways to accelerate support among women entrepreneurs. The event also honors distinct women whose efforts have paved the way for the success of other artists and women in business.
Types
Artistic Submissions Considered are as follows:
- Visual Arts: ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, filmmaking, architecture, industrial design, graphic design, VFX, fashion design, and interior design.
- Performance Arts: Singer/Songwriter, Rapper, Dancer, Poet, Writer, Musician, Composer and Actress.
Eligibility Criteria
- Entrants must identify as a woman between the ages of 13-35 living in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom.
- Only 8 artists will be selected for this year’s virtual showcase.
- Only the entrant and/or entrant’s original work may be featured in the photo or video submitted for consideration.
- You must own all rights to the works entered as a part of your Submission. Covers are allowed as submissions for singer/songwriters and musicians.
- Photo entries must be clear, and video entries must be at least 1-minute long.
- Your face, artwork, voice, or creative work must be clear and easy to understand, hear, see, and/or watch.
- Entries or posts submitted via social media must include the hashtag #SheROCKS2023 to be considered.
