Deadline: 12-Dec-2025
The NSW Sexual Violence Recovery and Healing (SVRH) Grant Program offers a significant opportunity for organisations to enhance support for victim-survivors of sexual violence.
The program is designed to strengthen trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices, enabling communities and service providers across New South Wales to better meet the recovery and healing needs of priority groups. By building capacity and promoting informed approaches, the initiative ensures that victim-survivors receive care in a safe, understanding, and culturally sensitive environment.
A key focus of the program is fostering collaboration and information sharing between services and communities. Projects that encourage coordinated approaches to recovery and healing, as well as the exchange of knowledge and best practices, are highly encouraged. This approach helps improve service quality and accessibility for victim-survivors, particularly those from groups that face additional barriers to support.
The program prioritises support for a wide range of groups, including Aboriginal communities, multicultural communities, LGBTIQA+ individuals, people with disability, children and young people, adult survivors of child sexual abuse, older women, people experiencing homelessness, and those in contact with the criminal justice system. By targeting these populations, the program aims to ensure equitable access to recovery and healing services and address the unique challenges faced by these groups.
Funding of up to $3 million is available under the SVRH Grant Program for one-off, time-limited projects spanning two years, with activities delivered through to 2027/28. There is no specific limit on the amount applicants may request, allowing organisations to propose projects scaled to the needs of their communities.
Eligible applicants include legal entities located in NSW, such as Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, incorporated not-for-profit organisations registered with NSW Fair Trading, Indigenous Corporations, NSW Local Aboriginal Land Councils, religious organisations operating in NSW, and certain NSW non-government organisations established under their own legislation. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements to progress to assessment and demonstrate the capacity to deliver projects that improve recovery and healing outcomes for victim-survivors of sexual violence.
This grant program provides a vital opportunity for organisations to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals, strengthen community responses to sexual violence, and promote culturally informed, trauma-sensitive recovery and healing practices across New South Wales.
