Pay tribute to someone who makes you proud to be an Australian, be it a friend, family member, workmate or someone you have met while serving the community, and nominate them for a Fairfield City Australia Day Community Award.

Award categories are:
- Citizen of the Year – 25 years and over
- Young Citizen of the Year – 12 to 24
- Volunteer of the Year – 12 years and over
- Sports Achiever of the Year – 12 years and over
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals who are Australian citizens who live, work or study in the Fairfield City Local Government Area and have made significant contributions or achievements in the Fairfield City community are eligible to be nominated for an Australia Day Community Award. An individual can be nominated in more than one category.

You are not eligible if you are:
- A previous winner of a Fairfield City Council Australia Day Community Award for the same award category
- A member of the Australia Day Community Awards Committee
- Self-nominated

All nominations will be assessed on the following criteria:

In choosing Award winners in each category, regard is given to the nominee's achievements in the year immediately before receiving the award, as well as any past achievements and ongoing contribution to the Fairfield City community.

Citizen of the Year
- This award recognises a citizen 25 years and over who has demonstrated outstanding achievement for the Fairfield City community.

Young Citizen of the Year
- This award recognises a young citizen aged between 12 and 24 years who has demonstrated an outstanding achievement for the Fairfield City community.

Volunteer of the Year
- This award recognises a volunteer 12 years and over who has had significant involvement in a voluntary capacity in the Fairfield City community.

Sports Achiever of the Year
- This award recognises a committed sportsperson (athlete, coach, manager, mentor, volunteer or official) 12 years and over who have demonstrated outstanding sports achievement in the Fairfield City community.
