If you have implemented a project for young Roma in the last two years, or are currently running one, you are eligible to apply for the Phiren Amenca’s Roma Youth Project Award. This opportunity is open to both registered organizations and informal youth groups.
The winner will receive a prize of €5,000, and the top five projects will be showcased at a high-level event. Additionally, all submitted projects will be published in a special booklet and shared more widely.
Eligible projects must have been implemented between 2023 and 2025. Ongoing initiatives are also welcome to apply. The competition is open to projects based in the EU, Western Balkans, Turkey, Ukraine, and Moldova.
Applications are accepted from both Roma and non-Roma groups. Projects should focus on empowering young Roma between the ages of 16 and 30. Initiatives must be youth-led or youth-focused and should promote Roma youth participation, self-organization, community dialogue, active citizenship, or identity development.
