The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce the Embassy Youth Council (EYC) Program to further promote the ‘Youth in Action’ across the region.
The US Embassy Youth Council (EYC) is a non-partisan and non-political advisory group that will work in partnership with US Embassy Suva to constructively engage with youth.
To be the collective, inclusive voices of youth in Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga and Tuvalu in partnership with the US Embassy Suva in innovating, strengthening, creating and sustaining opportunities to address challenges faced by the region.
Goals and Objectives
The purpose of the EYC is to increase communication between the Embassy and youth audiences. The EYC will advise and assist the Embassy develop relevant programs for youth through working groups on current priorities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be at least 18 years – 33 years old at the time of the EYC closing date
- Be a citizen of Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, or Tuvalu
- Be fluent in written and spoken English
- Be residing in Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, or Tuvalu
- Able to voluntarily commit to the EYC for two (2) years.
