The EU4Moldova: Key Regions program launches the Non-Reimbursable Financial Assistance Program for private sector representatives in the Cahul and Ungheni regions, 2021 Edition. The call for project proposals is implemented by the United Nations Development Program with the financial support of the European Union.
The purpose of the Call is to support new businesses, as well as to accelerate existing companies in urban and rural areas of the Cahul and Ungheni regions, especially those run or that have a positive impact on women, men and young people and an increased degree of innovation and digitalization of the business and a positive impact on the environment. A financial support mechanism will be launched (involving the purchase of equipment / goods / works / services), accompanied by a mentoring program to stimulate entrepreneurial culture in the key regions of Ungheni and Cahul.
The Purpose of the Private Sector Grant Program key regions of Cahul and Ungheni – to promote the development and maintenance of the spirit entrepreneurship among urban and rural populations, especially among women, men and youth, supporting the introduction of innovative ideas and the creation of new work places.
Through transparent and competitive evaluation procedures will be selected:
- 6 entities from each region will benefit from financial assistance in the amount of up to 30,000 EURO each, existing companies from rural and urban areas that want to expand their business;
- 6 entities from each region will benefit from a financial assistance with a maximum amount of 25 000 EURO each, existing companies from the urban area and new ones created from the rural area that want to launch innovative initiatives;
- 1 entity from each region will receive assistance with a maximum amount of EUR 20,000 for a social entrepreneurship project.
Eligibility Criteria
- An economic operator registered with the competent authorities Republic of Moldova;
- A company with more than 3 years of experience registered in Kagulsky or Ungheni districts (urban or rural areas);
- Obligatory contribution of at least 10% of the total project cost. Contribution accepted only in monetary terms, which is documented the executing organization designated by the Program.
