Deadline: 31-Jul-2025
Entries are now open for the Young and Talented Cornwall Spirit of Trevithick Award. This initiative is designed to support young individuals in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who show strong enthusiasm and potential in STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
The award offers not only grant funding but also mentorship from industry professionals. This combination helps young innovators grow their skills, explore career opportunities, and pursue their ambitions in STEM fields.
Successful applicants may receive a grant of up to £2,000. This financial support is intended to help them take steps toward developing their talents and advancing in their chosen STEM path.
The award will not support individuals who are outside the specified age range or who live outside Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. It also does not accept applications from organisations or cover costs that have already been incurred.
Eligible applicants must be between 16 and 23 years old, demonstrate talent and innovation in STEM, and be residents of Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly. Preference is given to those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Applications must include a recent reference dated within the past three months. The reference must be signed and provided on official headed paper.
