Open Call: Youth Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina in RYCO Governing Board

The Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), the Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (VM FBIH), the Youth Council of Republika Srpska (OSRS) and the Youth Council of the Brcko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina (VSMBD) have announce a open call for the Youth Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the RYCO Governing Board.

The Youth Representative in the Steering Committee shall represent the common voice of the youth of Bosnia and Herzegovina and with his work and engagement will be a representative of the youth sector in BiH.

According to pre-agreed plans, the youth representative actively participates in regional initiatives, meetings and activities with other youth representatives, members of the RYCO Board of Directors.

The duty of the youth representative as a member of the Management Board is, among other things, to participate in adoption of a three-year strategic plan and annual operational plans, adoption of annual budget and three-year financial plan, approval of annual program and financial reports, providing political support to the parties for strategic, operational and financial plans, giving consent for the establishment of working groups on certain issues related with the youth, the appointment and dismissal of the Secretary General of the Secretariat, the decision on concluding cooperation agreements with participants and organizations outside Contracting Parties, the establishment of a selection committee for the staff of the Secretariat and local branches, and reporting to civil society and umbrella organizations on the work and results achieved iregular participation in all meetings of the Board of Directors.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate applying for the position is required to:

not to be younger than 18 and older than 30 years;
that he is a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
that no criminal proceedings have been instituted against him for the criminal offense for which he is envisaged imprisonment or that he has not been sentenced to imprisonment for criminal offenses in accordance with the criminal laws in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
active participation in the creation / development of youth policy at the local level, cantonal and / or entity level;
at least three years of experience in one of the following organizations:
- the Youth Council / Youth Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
- youth association in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
- an association / organization that represents the interests of young people through its activities and acts on the well-being of young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
participation in the creation and implementation of projects aimed at realization goals defined within local, cantonal and entity youth policy / strategy;
experience in regional and international cooperation;
knowledge of the work of local, cantonal and / or entity actors in the field of youth policies / strategies;
participation in decision-making at the level of the team, organization, working bodies or sector;
knowledge of the regional context and experience in the implementation of programs / projects for youth at the regional level;
advanced level of English language proficiency;
expressed analytical, negotiating and communicative abilities;
active knowledge of computer work;
not to hold a political office;
not to be a member of management or governing structures in umbrella organizations for youth in BiH.
