Deadline: 28-Jul-2025
Applications are now open for the Futures Fellowship, a multi-year professional development program designed to transform university students into global leaders and changemakers. Created by leading industry and academic experts, this fellowship aims to unlock young talents’ full potential and accelerate their career journeys.
The BH Futures Foundation Fellowship is one of the most impactful opportunities in Bosnia & Herzegovina. If you are passionate and ambitious, this program offers a unique chance to grow, inspire others, and contribute to shaping a better future for the country. Along the way, you will gain essential tools, mentorship, and opportunities to make a meaningful impact.
Over 11 months, participants will build leadership skills and expand their expertise in entrepreneurship, research, technology, and more. The fellowship also connects you with a network of driven young people, offering volunteering opportunities and personal growth.
This merit-based fellowship focuses on your development, but it does not provide a monthly stipend by default. However, critical funding is available for volunteers facing financial hardships. The Foundation covers all costs for attending educational activities.
As a Junior Scholar, you are expected to maintain good academic standing and actively engage with the community via Slack. Participation in onboarding, monthly workshops, and Futures Academy events is mandatory. Fellows are also required to volunteer over 100 hours annually, with at least half supporting BH Futures Foundation activities.
Mentorship plays a key role—you will join a mentoring program, learn from your mentor, and reflect on your progress. Personal goal setting, team-building events, and leading a passion project that drives real change are integral parts of the experience. Throughout the fellowship, professionalism, integrity, and upholding the Foundation’s values are essential.
To qualify, applicants must be full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s students in Bosnia & Herzegovina, studying STEM or related fields such as IT, business, design, or marketing. Candidates should have at least one year remaining in their studies, conversational English skills, and a willingness to volunteer. Bosnia & Herzegovina citizenship and residency are required.
Applications include an application form, motivational letter, video submission, and a personality test. Honesty and readiness to provide proof during selection are important.
This fellowship offers a rare chance to fast-track your growth, leadership, and impact within Bosnia & Herzegovina and beyond.
