The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA) announces a Request for Statements of Interest (RSOI) for organizations to submit a statement of interest (SOI) to carry out programs that work with the private sector in India and the United States to foster a platform to develop career pathways for vulnerable adolescent girls in India, focused on but not limited to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers and/or entrepreneurship.
This program will address SCA’s goal of fostering co-creation with the private sector and philanthropic foundations to support adolescent girls’ long term economic empowerment in coordination with the US-India Alliance for Women’s Economic Empowerment, a public-private partnership advancing women’s workforce participation, entrepreneurship and access to career enhancing educational opportunities in India.
The program seeks to advance priorities outlined in the US National Gender Strategy advancing women’s economic security. A proposed program must support the development of a consortium of corporations, civil society organizations, foundations, and/or social enterprises that work collaboratively to advance programs and investments in adolescent girls in India with a clear linkage to establishing long term economic security and workforce participation .

Eligibility Criteria
- The following organizations are eligible to apply:
- Both US and foreign Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil
- society/non-governmental organizations
- Both US and foreign Educational institutions
- Both US and foreign For-profit organizations
- Both US and foreign Public Entities (FPE)
- Applicants are only allowed to submit one SOI per organization, per round though applicants can form partnerships to support multiple applications. If more than one SOI is submitted from an organization, all SOIs from that institution will be considered ineligible. An organization or individual selected for participation in the co-creation workshop may not be guaranteed to receive funding.
