This one-year volunteer programme is ideal for people who are passionate to do more to end extreme poverty and preventable diseases everywhere, want to develop skills in campaigning and influencing decision makers, and want to be a part of a global network of people keen to do more for global justice.

Here’s what to expect
- Being a Youth Ambassador will typically take a few hours of your time a week. You’ll carry out a variety of creative and impactful actions in support of ONE’s campaigning and advocacy work, such as meeting with your MPs, organising local events or using social media to raise awareness about important global issues.
- The volunteer programme will run throughout 2023, and each Youth Ambassador will receive training, access to high-profile events, in-depth policy briefings, campaigning opportunities, as well as dedicated support from ONE’s campaigns team.
- This role is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to gain more experience in international development or who wants to develop their skills in bringing about change.
What they are looking for?
- A passion for their mission to end extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in low-income countries in Africa
- Attendance at a programme induction and training during the week commencing 20th of February
- Willingness to attend monthly meetings (online and/or offline)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Ability to encourage and support others to take part in ONE campaigns
- Verbal and written proficiency in English
