Deadline: 12 December 2025
The Kristina Martin Charitable Trust is inviting applications from UK-registered charities that support people with mental health issues and address challenges such as suicide, online bullying, grief, and fostering hope and resilience.
The focus of this funding round includes the following objectives: breaking the link between homelessness and poor mental health, reduction in the effects of social media on mental health, reduction of social isolation, and improving mental health outcomes for children and young people.
The theme of breaking the link between homelessness and poor mental health prioritizes applications that provide meaningful differences to those affected and support housing accommodation and ongoing mental health improvement. The reduction in the effects of social media on mental health theme seeks to create pathways from online to physical community participation through volunteering, peer or educator roles, or employment, with a focus on innovative approaches led by young people. The reduction of social isolation theme supports charities that own or operate community hubs to reduce loneliness, improve inclusion, and enhance community engagement, giving preference to youth-driven initiatives. Finally, the improving mental health outcomes for children and young people theme focuses on projects that facilitate early identification and intervention in mental health concerns and enhance resources, activities, and programs that promote positive mental health experiences.
For this round, the total funding budget is £400,000, divided equally across the four themes. Each theme has £100,000 available, with grant levels determined at the trustees’ discretion. Four grants of up to £50,000 will be specifically awarded under the theme addressing the effects of social media on mental health.
Eligible applicants must be UK-registered charities with a written constitution, charitable aims, and demonstrated impact in local, UK, or international contexts. Organizations must also have at least three unrelated trustees and maintain a core focus on supporting mental health and well-being.
