The Suffolk Community Foundation is accepting applications for High Sheriff’s Fund.
You can apply for up to £2,000 from this fund for work which addresses citizenship, community safety and crime prevention, particularly tackling issues such as:
- Bullying
- Vandalism and arson
- Anti-social behaviour
- Homelessness
- Internet safety
- Personal safety
- Road safety
- Knife crime
- Drug and alcohol abuse/awareness
- Community cohesion, especially with older people and minorities.
Funding Information
- Maximum grant available: £2,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Foundation will consider applications from voluntary and community groups in Suffolk whose primary aim is to improve the quality of people’s lives. For this particular fund, schools can also apply subject to the project being an extra-curricular activity.

Applicants need to have:
- A management committee of at least three members
- A governing document/constitution with a dissolution clause
- A bank account with two unrelated signatories living at separate addresses, who must both sign for all withdrawals
- An equal opportunities policy
- Annual accounts and management accounts less than 6 months old
- Relevant safeguarding policies, if you are working with young people or vulnerable adults.
