In partnership with Fundación Ama Amoedo, Delfina Foundation welcomes applications from Uruguayan artists (based in or outside the country) for a six-week residency in London, taking place from 15 May to 23 June 2023.
This is the first residency for artists within the framework of FAARA Conecta, a broader initiative for artists from Argentina and Uruguay to participate in international residencies supported by Fundación Ama Amoedo. The goal is to foster dialogue between artists, expand networks, and stimulate art production in different contexts. Delfina Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to facilitating artistic exchange and developing creative practice through residencies, partnerships and public programming.

The Selected Applicant Will Receive: A six-week residency at Delfina Foundation, including:
- A return economy-class flight.
- Airport transfers.
- Reimbursement of visa fee.
- A living allowance of £30 per day.
- A materials budget of up to £500.

- A single bedroom with a desk at Delfina Foundation.
- A house which hosts up to 8 residents with shared facilities, including: bathrooms, laundry rooms, a kitchen, library and dining room.
- Opportunities to engage in the art scene in UK through structured activities and independent time.
- Access to a programme of planned group activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Uruguayan citizenship;
- Seeking an opportunity to develop their practice through research;
- Able to explain how the experience of an international residency may benefit their career development and local networks;
- Able to explain how the experience of an international residency may benefit their career development;
- Proficient in English. Additionally, the selected practitioner will need to obtain travel insurance to cover medical emergencies, theft and other accidents.
