The Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) and the City of Adelaide (CoA) is seeking applications for Strategic Events Fund to recognise that the events industry is facing ongoing challenges from the ripple-effects of the pandemic and will be delivering a Strategic Events Fund in 2022/23 of more than $1 million to support the industry.
To increase economic activity in the city by supporting events and festivals, AEDA and the CoA have established the Strategic Events Fund, which will offer two categories of funding designed to assist in the staging of events that drive visitation, economic activity and vibrancy for the city.
This document provides potential applicants with information and guidance on the categories on offer and the type of activity that might be supported.
Funding Category
- Expansion of Existing
- Events New Events
Type of Event
- Expansion of Existing: Category is designed to support the growth and expansion of existing city-based events/festivals.
- Events New Events: Category is designed to support new city-based events/festivals that are once-off or ongoing.
Funding Information
- These categories include new events which may receive up to $100,000 in funding and expansion of existing events which may receive up to $50,000 in funding.
- Duration of funding 2022/23 Financial Year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Requests will be considered from:
- Not-for-profits including:
- Incorporated Associations
- Companies Limited by Guarantee
- Incorporated Aboriginal Associations
- Not-for-profits including:
- Individuals, sole traders or commercial organisations/businesses.
- The event has to be held within the CoA boundary and begins prior to 30 June 2023.
