The Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) is pleased to announce a call for applications for funding of projects related to demand driven Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), between private sector, educational actors and public authorities in Norway and in developing countries, under the Building Skills for Jobs programme.
Goals
- Increased number of people complete documented and transferable TVET training
- Increased number of people complete internship, apprenticeship or other type of work placement as part of the TVET-training programmes
- TVET institutional development
Funding Information
- The total funds made available in this call are NOK 50 million.
- Each project may be awarded up to NOK 3 million per year (maximum NOK 12 million).
- The call is open for up to 4 years project cooperation starting from January 2018.
Geographical scope
Funding will be prioritized to projects in the following countries: Ethiopia, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, South-Sudan, Somalia, South-Africa, Tunisia, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon, Myanmar, Nepal, Palestine, Syria, Brazil, Colombia, and Haiti.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications must be submitted by a Norwegian registered enterprise, educational institution or another organisation/institution involved in TVET.
- Applications should be prepared in close cooperation between the applicants and the collaboration partners
- In order to be eligible, applications must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must be a Norwegian registered entity.
- The project must be implemented in one of the eligible countries of the programme.
- The partnership must further include
- one main partner in the target country
- at least one enterprise or other private sector actor in Norway or in the target country
- at least one educational actor in the target country
- All partners must be legally registered entities in the respective countries
