Hydro Tasmania offers grants for not-for-profit community organisations based in Tasmania to help fund projects that make a real difference for people and communities.
Funding Information
- Grant amount: up to $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a community-serving, not-for-profit organisation, that is either:
- registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC); or
- a community service organisation exempt from paying income tax under the Income Tas Assessment Act 1997 (Cth).
- Organisations or the proposed project must be based in Tasmania.
Selection Criteria
- To demonstrate that there is a need and that the work will be successful, the application must provide:
- a description of the positive outcome this project is seeking to achieve.
- an explanation of the objectives, time frame, budget and that success is within the organisation’s capacity and expertise.
- Applications must be willing to provide, for use by Hydro Tasmania, information and photographs that demonstrate the outcomes from the grant.
- All successful applications will be required to sign a Funding Agreement which Hydro Tasmania will provide.
Ineligible
- Ineligible applications include:
- Projects where there is a direct benefit to a business or an individual.
- Projects that benefit a political party.
- Applications from a commercial or for-profit organisation.
- Fundraising campaigns, prizes or gifts.
- Strategic, business or communication plans or feasibility studies or any other study that does not result in a direct outcome to the community.
