The Oakfield Trust is accepting nominations for the Explore (Idea) Award to provide a social entrepreneur or team with some funding to explore an idea for a social enterprise.
This idea must address a social issue in Ireland.
Funding Priorities
- They will assess each application on a case-by-case basis. Just be warned that they are looking for strong ideas and ideas that can spend the grant within 12 months. Ideas that have the potential to become social enterprises have the best chance of being successful.
Funding Information
- The Explore Award – This is an award to enable an applicant to explore an idea for social enterprise which addresses a social issue. The award amount is up to €1,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- They accept applications from anywhere in the Republic of Ireland. Your beneficiaries or social impact must also be in the Republic of Ireland.
- The applicant is aged 16+.
- The applicant is a resident of Republic of Ireland.
- The idea operates primarily for the benefit of people or communities in Ireland.
- The idea and its activities don’t involve political campaigning or religious issues.
- The project is not already up and running.
- The applicant is developing the project independently or with the help of a small team of individuals and is not applying on behalf of a pre-existing, established organisation. They cannot fund university or college projects.
- The applicant should spend the funding and report on the project within 12 months.
